Overview
Compusult's WSM simplifies and accelerates the process of establishing an interoperable sensor web by integrating sensor services and encodings into a common framework.

The Web Enterprise Suite XI Sensor Management (WSM) provides a standards-based framework for the discovery, access, use and control of diverse sensors, their metadata, and their observation data. The WSM framework provides an adaptive and flexible environment for integrating sensors without requiring its users to necessarily understand and be exposed to the OGC SWE standards. The WSM is an add-on module to Compusult's Web Enterprise Suite. This suite of applications provides integrated discovery, collaboration and visualization for sensors and data within a user customizable, open source, portal framework.

WSM Features:
- Quickly discover sensors and learn about what they can do (location, observables, quality, ability to task).
- Obtain sensor descriptions and sensor metadata in a standard metadata format.
- Retrieve near real-time or archival sensor observations and display or export results in a variety of methods.
- Sensor discovery and observations are viewable in Google Maps, Google earth, Bing Maps or the provided WES viewer.
- Merge or layer sensor information with other mapping data from other OGC standards such as the Web Mapping Service (WMS).
- Task, test and control sensors to meet specific needs.
- Transmits alerts or trigger events when a sensor measures a particular phenomenon, or completes a requested task.
- Track mobile sensors with real-time location tracking through the WES Mobile Object Tracking Service.
WSM is an optional component of Compusults Web Enterprise Suite; a set of Internet-based applications and toolkits that support Web mapping, information cataloging, discovery, retrieval and delivery services.
WSM is also a contributor to the Open Geospatial Consortium Sensor Web Interoperability initiative.
